I've just bought a Macbook with superdrive. Forgive me 'cos I'm new to Mac having been persuaded to switch from Windows. When I try to burn my itunes library to DVD it tells me to insert a blank disc. I do this (TDK DVD-R) but then it spits out the disk saying "This is not a blank disc" (it is brand new!)....DVD-R should be compatible so am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Are you trying to make a back up of your library or just a music cd to play in your player? iTunes can easily do both. (burn playlist to disk or back up to disc). Have you tried a different DVD-R? sometimes individual disks can just be bad. Since DVD-R prices have gone down so much this isn't nearly as frustrating as when they cost ~$10 each.
