I spent a lot of time converting my movies for my Apple TV and I was beyond bummed when I realized my iPhone would not play them. Having to convert another set of files the phone seems ridiculous to me and my iTunes has turned into a bloated dog with all this extra media (97+gigs).
Am I missing something? Can VisualHub export movies that will play on both Apple TV and the iPhone? If so I'll buy right now. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

VisualHub 1.26 has a handy "Optimize for All" setting on the iTunes tab.
The same functionality was in the old "iPod/TV Screen" option.

Hmm. I tried the Optimize for All and got the "couldn't read yuv4mpeg header"error with every file I tried (.mov).

Even though Tyler is here, you may want to post this on Visualhub's forum http://www.isquint.o...n/ikonboard.cgi where you may be able to find the answer to your question already answered.
FWIW, I've been using VisualHub since it was in it's beta stages and it's one app I would never be without. Tyler is very quick to answer any questions and it actively developing this program (this release is a great example of how on top of it he is). I'd recommend everyone saves their lunch money for the week and buy VisualHub /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've never used VisualHub for this kind of conversion, but some general info... The max resolution for iPhone videos is 640x480. The default AppleTV export (from Quicktime Player) is higher-res, as it should be for HDTV. You can export to the iPod format and it'll play great on iPods, iPhones, and AppleTVs but won't look as crisp on an HD set.
I wouldn't complain about that. I mean the iPhone is 3.5", and most HDTV's are slightly larger...

I second that, I've used NUMEROUS paid for and free programs and nothing comes close to Visual Hub's capabilites and price. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
