I just picked up ILife, mainly for Iweb. But in looking in the directions, which are as normal, not very clear, it seems to say IWeb has a 100-photo limit. I can't believe that. They may have meant in one folder or something.
Anything to my worries? Thanks

iWeb is the most horrible piece of goat vomit Apple has ever turned out. The limit is probably a "per page" or "per folder" limit, though I wouldn't be surprised if it were site wide.
You might want to take a look at RapidWeaver. It's a FAR superior application, is easier to use and has many optional add ons. Plus, you don't need .Mac to get any real use out of it. You can use your own Web site if you want.

ermmm isnt that taking it a bit too serious? "Goat vomit" ... /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif it is just an update of the previous online service previously offered on .Mac where you didnt have much control. Latest version do not have a limit of 99 picts per page which the previous had (latest is 300 per page). It is slow and cumbersome but isnt supposed to be for any "serious" designers. All the "serious web designers" usually look down upon fixed solutions (dirty code, bloated etc) but even Rapidweaver gets flak from Dreamveawer users etc. There is also Freeway Express (or Pro)..depends on your needs

Depending upon the application, there may be good reasons for this.
For instance, Portfolio (a powerful DAM) has web-publishing extensions for photo galleries. While the app can support catalogs of thousands of images, some web templates (depending on design) will only handle 100 or less. Other layouts aren't limited by this.
Besides, as another posted, there are industrial-strength solutions. Depends upon how involved you want to get...
