Awww... You're going to keep us hanging? Just kidding. I'm surprised you even wrote that much. I know I couldn't have. I do have a question for you but not regarding the new iMac. I noticed you have a split keyboard. I'm having some hand issues and was wondering if you like what you are using and what kind it was. Please don't tell me it's a MS keyboard. Thanks.

I'm most interested in the 2.8 GHz iMac.
Will Macworld be reviewing and benchmarking this model?
I'd like to know if it's worth an extra $250 for the processor upgrade.
Please, please, test this model, Macworld!

I'm using a Goldtouch keyboard from KeyOvation. Now that they have a Mac version (with volume, eject, power, and command buttons) it's a good fit for me.

I too am most interested in this model. I have been waiting for this iMac or a new cheaper Mac Pro (where is the Mac Cube anyway?) and just want to see/read a Specmark for the 2.8 GHz model. Please test it with the full 4 GB of memory.
thanks,

WOW I told my wife about the new iMac without seeing it and she actualy said mybe I should get one (She never says that), but all of the pictures I have seen show the glaring (Pun intended), reality that Apple finaly has an iMac dud on there hands, the screen is usless unless all you want to do is watch movies in a dark room.
To bad my G5 iMac is starting to show its age. Good thing I just got a new Mac Pro at work.
I'll have to look at this in the Apple store but from the images on this an other WEB sites my guess is it is a non starter.
Another thing that would have been nice is if the screen on the 20" was at least 1080 for playing HD content after all the ATI card starts with HD so it must be capable.

I'm not sure what you mean by the screen being useless. If you're referring to it being glossy rather than matte, I have found the glossy screen on my MacBook Pro to be absolutely fantastic. As an artist and writer, the glossy screen gives me better visibility in daylight than my previous iBook with the matte screen ever did.

And so would every other manufacturer that produces glossy LCD laptops. I have one from Dell. It plays movies just dandy and we don't notice any glare. Of course we only watch movies on computers when we're traveling. Many HD LCD televisions have the glossy look as well I'm afraid. We'll see if the new iMac is a dud or not. I certainly want one. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
