I find it amazing that I have yet to find an article pointing out Apple's hypocrisy in not putting in LED backlighting in these new iMacs, as they have already done with the MacBook Pro line.

I don't know if I'd call it hypocrisy. Larger LED displays are quite expensive; when the cost comes down enough that adding an LED display to the iMac won't dramatically increase the price, I suspect Apple will do just that.

The New iMac is very quiet. The internal fan is virtually unnoticeable.
