imovie help

Hi,
My company recently purchased a Canon XH A1 HDV Camcorder. We do not have FCP as of yet. I shot two stories and when I import to imovie 6.3.0 everything is fine except that the audio does not match up with the video. I shot in 1080i 60 and 1080i 24f. When viewing in camera, everything is fine. I am using mini dv's.
Any help, theories or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
