I just got a new 17" MacBook Pro. At home I have 20" 1680x1050 Starlogic monitor. It works on a PC running on Windows XP just fine at the max resolution. When I connect the external monitor, the mac recognizes it as an LCD monitor. The problem is the mac will only allow 1600x1200 max resolution.
I noticed the Starlogic doesn't have a website for any drivers, so any suggestions?

I had a similar issue connecting my MBP to a 22" Gateway. I believe the problem lies with the VGA connection, due to the fact that the display worked at full resolution as soon as the DVI cable I ordered arrived. However, I don't understand why VGA would be the culprit.

I hope that fixes your problem, but I'm already using a DVI cable.
