Equipment to convert vinyl records to computer.

Looking for suggestions for hardware to convert old 78 rpm records to usable music on my iMac G5.

you need a turntable and a phono pre-amp and recording software of your choice.

What do you want to convert, vinyl or 78s?
What audio equipment do you have?
What computer equipment do you have?
Have you read anything on the subject?
