For anyone who is having any issues with getting the online store to accept the credit, call 1-800-my-apple. I had issues with it taking my credit (and yes I got it and immediately spent it) so I called and the helpful CS on the other end hooked it right up. BTW I just got a new 8g iPhone for $249. Refurb baby! I have had alot of good experiences and saved alot of $$ by buying from the refurb section on Apples site and it carries the exact same warranty as new. As for the ones who sold on Ebay, i got one word for you...WHAAAA!

Easy to use process. Apple did an excellent job of making this credit as easy to get as possible.

But, the credit WILL NOT work for iTunes gift cards.

You have to buy a physical card either online or from a store. Supposedly the reason is some accounting problems if they sell you an electronic card using the rebate coupon. Since they aren't restricting purchase of the physical cards which have the exact same value with somewhat less convenience, I guess that explanation is good enough.
