What steps do I take before selling iPod?

I recently purchased an iPod Classic. Now, I'm looking to sell my iPod Mini (4GB, 2nd Gen). The first thing I did was check eBay for a price. Used Mini's are selling in the range of $50. I already have an interested buyer, but I've run into a slight problem. I restored the Mini to factory settings, but iTunes re-syncs my library and playlists automatically after the restore. Is there a way to restore factory settings on the iPod without syncing my music to it?

Change the iPod prefs to Manual Sync, then reset the Mini.
