Mac Pro won't see PC's

We have a wireless network on which we have printers, 2 PC laptops (XP) and internet access. We have recently purchased a Mac Pro which on the first day of setup could "see" both the laptops and the network. However, eversince though the Mac Pro can use the network facilities (printers, internet access etc)it cannot see the two PC laptops and they cannot see the Mac Pro. I'm a new Mac users and have tried to correct this problem, but have failed!!
Can anybody suggest what I can do??
