While this application seems like a fantastic idea.. the execution and support is not all that great. I purchased Periscope after reading about it in MacWorld.. and have been plagued by problems with it. I am using it on my MacBook with 2GB Ram and over 100gb of free room on my hard drive.. I've got it set up to upload images to my .mac (.me) account whenever it senses motion (I've got the sensitivity set pretty high).. the camera is pointed at my dog pen in the kitchen (I have a new puppy).. and it will go up to an hour and a half at times between picture uploads to the .mac site. .. and I can verify that it was taking photos in between when I look at the images that it saved on the local folder. The other problem is that it will frequently "quit unexpectedly" after only running for a couple minutes. I tried posting my questions on the Freeverse.com Support Forum, but after expressing my disappointment and frustration (just as I am here), they banned me from the forum, and it referred me to email them at "forum@freeverse.com" .. which I did.. and got a return email saying it was not a valid email address. I don't know what kind of rinky-dink company Freeverse is, but I would not recommend their product(s) based on this level of (non)support.

I created another login (on another computer) on Freeverse's website, and posted my issue about being 'banned', I was told that I was recognized as a 'spammer' or a 'spambot', that's why I was banned. I replied that I was clearly NOT a spam bot, and was not spamming, simply trying to get my issue resolved on their 'support' forum.. and guess what.. I was banned AGAIN. I would strongly discourage ANYONE from buying anything from Freeverse, as they clearly do NOT want to provide any level of service or support to their customers after the sale is done, and if you post a question on their forum expressing that you're having a problem with the product, they censor you by banning you.
