iBook Gone???

I'm overseas so I know nothing about what Steve said in the Keynote, but from a quick look at the Apple site and seeing the new Powerbooks, is this the beginning of the end of the ibook? I mean, is the 12" PB basically a G4 iBook?

The ibook isn't going anywhere -- not until they can make a G4 portable for around $1000.

Yeah, with a different case, slotloading drive, all the Powerbook hookups, thinner, better graphics, FW800, airport extreme...I'm running out of breath.

iBooks look different. Super portable. Well priced...kind of (if you think, you can get a really good PC for that price). iBooks are going to be here for along time as long as they don't make models like the first iBooks ever made.

Actually, the 12" PB doesn't have FireWire 800.
