I'm on Safari right now and it is a pretty fast browser, maybe a wee-bit faster than chimera.

It is pretty nice... I'm still playing with it to see if there are any issues, but after about 30 minutes of play time, it has a nice feel to it.
edit: Okay, the beta limitations are begining to show, but it's still pretty nice. There seems to be a few problems with Java (cannot access hotmail), but I'm sure they'll get ironed out.
I found the pop-up window killer in the Safari menu, so that's a definite plus...

Ack! It doesn't import bookmarks yet! According to the help file, it says it'll import from IE upon first launch. (It didn't) Then below that it says "at this time, Saf doesn't import bms. So ... which is it?

Ok, it means it will only import from IE but not other browsers yet. However, it didn't. And like rockin, my login won't stick for some reason.
Another cool feature is spell check! (If it works.)

that's odd... I just went to the bookmarks page, and it had automatically done it for me. I was looking for an "import bookmarks" function, but it did it for me. Perhaps it only imports bookmarks from IE. Are you using a browswer other than Explorer?
edit: d'oh... you came to the same conclusion I did, but you type faster (heh heh)

My login to these boards won't stick in Safari. I'm back in IE right now.
It is pretty fast.
The Bookmarks are very confusing. you will figure it out though.
the menu "bookmarks" opens "show all BM's" which allows you to organize. You will see the "Imported IE Favorites" you have to move all these into "Bookmarks menu" to have them show up in the drop down menu on your desktop.

If login to these boards worked in Safari, I'd be using it 100% of the time. Unfortunately, right now that's not the case. Maybe it'll resolve itself within the week through an Apple update or a tweak to the forum system. (Calling all admins)

How does this forum keep track of people logged in? I am assuming with cookies.. I will look at safari when I get home, but for now, look at any options for cookies and see if you can accept them automatically.

Alright, I found the imported bookmarks. I just didn't find them where I expected. Spelling does work. However, I had to go to another forum to find out - can't reply here with the login bug.
Didn't Steve say iMovie and iPhoto would be downloadable today? I can't seem to find where they're available. (At least that's what I thought I heard. I had two streams going, both of which were cutting in and out.)

You would most likely be correct sir.
I can't think of any other way to leave persistant information for the browser between sessions, which means it's more than likely a cookie problem...

iPhoto and iMovie will be available on the 25th IIRC...
iTunes was the program "available today".
