All of the "problems" sighted so far have not appeared for me. I loggged into these forums, quit Safari, re-launched and came back and I was still logged in. Hotmail works too. For a beta, this browser ROCKS! Faster than Chimera by a LONG SHOT. I never used tabbed browsing, so that doesn't bother me. And, I am on a 500 MHz G3! Can't wait to try this out on my 17" iMac. Kudos Apple, VERY well done.

Yep to all the positive stuff already posted /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I'm still on dialup but will go to adsl soon and cannot wait to play with this browser then and when 1.0 gets released...
Big hurrah to Apple - I've given up worrying about hardware upgrades at MWSF (though those PBs look pretty nice) because I can't afford to purchase new hardware every year but Apple's work on software and OSX has been fantastic of late., Looking forward to iPhoto 3. One thing that would be good is Appleworks 7 but I see the price of MS for OSX has come down even lower so maybe a native Apple app that is better integrated might be a no show(?)...
Anyway way off topic! Again big wraps to Apple....

So far all appears to work well and fast. No problems with login but did have some problems navigating Miccromat's website - slow to load and some pages refused to load. Could be a Java thingy?
The keyboard shortcuts that appear in the Status Bar (View>StatusBar) at the bottom of the page when Command, Option or Cntrl keys are pressed while mousing over a link is a nice feature. Would like to see an Auto-complete feature - I use it often.
All-in-all a very nice beginning. I'm impressed! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Safari seems pretty nice thus far. On a speed level with Chimera, but if Apple wants this sucker to be "best of class" lets see some tabbed browsing. To me, that's the single most beloved feature of a web browser I've ever used.

Tell me what tabbed browsing is..... I really don't know.
I have also noticed there is no 'auto fill' feature to automatically fill-in name, address, etc. I really use that quite a bit.
But it sure is FAST!

Tab browsing is when you can view a bunch of website with only one page open. Their called tabs..Their side by side, and when you click on them, you can see the page that's displayed in them. If you want to be able to open multiple webpages, tabbed browsing is the way to go...

Blech!
Tabbed browsing is overrated!!
I'm not at all a fan...
Just open a new browser window, folks! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Safari is very slow about downloading the page. Rendering puts it ahead of all other browsers but the initial pause is a bit annoying. I love the iCon though. Very cool lookin'.

Lets see four things.
1. Scrolling with a mouse wheel is not that great. There is not option to scroll faster.
2. You cannot drag the browser behind the dock.
3. No tab browser. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
4. You cannot as far as I see can get rid of history option unless you keep on deleteing it all the time.
But otherwise It is very fast and I like it so far.

I think that is a good safety feature so that it doesn't get stuck behind there. How many threads have there been about that in these forums?
