Safari

Just started playing with Safari -- love it so far!
The only two reasons that I'll probably just play with Safari but keep using Netscape/Mozilla for work is:
1. all of my work-related bookmarks. Is there any way to import Netscape/Mozilla bookmarks? Incidentally, all of my IE bookmarks imported just fine at the first launch.
2. tabbed browsing. Big time/space saver.
My favorite Safari features so far:
1. speed.
2. snapback (and being able to mark snapbacks)
3. being able to add the "text size" option to the toolbar (using the view menu) and being able to make instant adjustments depending on the website I'm viewing.
Great for a beta release. Now, if I can just figure out a way to get all my bookmarks imported.
PBear.
By the way -- the first site that I had problems loading in safari is....
The safari site! (http://www.apple.com/safari/) It's missing all of the graphics. How's that for irony /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi PBear,
This method of importing bookmarks comes courtesy of www.macoshints.com
1) Export your bookmarks from Chimera. It outputs an HTML file, which is fine. For OmniWeb, no export is necessery since the bookmarks are already stored as an HTML file.
2) Launch Explorer, select "Organise Favorites" in the Favorites menu, then select "Import Favorites..." in the File menu.
3) Select your HTML bookmark file (OmniWeb bookmarks are stored in Library -> Application Support -> OmniWeb -> Bookmarks.html).
4) All bookmarks have been added to Explorer's favorites in a new folder.
If Safari has already been launched on your machine, it won't import your favorites again. If so, then:
a) Quit Safari.
b) Open the Preferences file for Safari in a text editor (it is located at Library -> Preferences -> com.apple.Safari.plist).
c) Find the key labeled "IEFavoritesWereImported" and change the value from TRUE to FALSE.
d) Relaunch Safari.
Your bookmarks have been transfered in the "Imported IE Favorites" collection of Safari's bookmark library!

By the way -- the Safari website now works fine for me (all the images load properly). Wonder what's changed...
