For you. Many people downloaded the updates yesterday when this was news. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I often wonder why some people see the updates much sooner than others. Oh, the mystery of the universe.

I have had Leopard Centric updates today for Aperture and Remote Desktop Client.
I checked 10.4 for update this morning (UK - GMT 1) at 08:00 and the server was working fine. After the Leopard install at around 11:00 am (GMT 1) the server was not available. The server became available around the time of the Leopard release in the US.

As I understand it, Apple does this to "roll out" updates to avoid a situation where every Mac user in the world is downloading updates at the same time /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The web almost ground to a halt a while back because of a large Microsoft Update and the Auto Update feature. Microsoft made sure this did not happen again through a managed roll out process.
In the UK we sometimes get the Apple updates at a later time than the US.
