A keyboard for laptops? I'd be pretty miffed if my laptop came without a keyboard. Not sure what the market is for something like this.
Then again, it would be perfect for an ultra-light, ultra-thin Multi-Touch tablet from Apple. Here's hoping. (against hope). And while I'm wishing, may as well throw in a pressure-sensitive stylus for sketching.

This was my thinking as well. But even when Apple does come out with a MT tablet, it will include the new small Bluetooth keyboard that comes with the new iMacs.

It's certainly a niche product, but it's a handsome looking keyboard - not the kludge you'd expect. Some people do use external keyboards with their laptops and for them this would seem to be an excellent alternative. It could be useful as well for those of us who do tech support and need to take a wired keyboard along on some jobs.

Bluetooth and RF keyboards have advantages, but a wired keyboard uses less battery power, can provide additional USB ports, and will never be affected by wireless interference /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
As for this being a "niche" product, one of the biggest drawbacks of laptops is that they force you into ergonomically-poor working positions. You can avoid this by using an external keyboard with a laptop stand. This keyboard/stand bundle is clever, in my opinion, because it gives you a stand and keyboard that are small enough to fit in a laptop bag; wherever you go, you've got a more-ergonomic setup.
I'll be taking a look at this for our Mobile Mac section.
