3. iTunes compatibility with 3rd party MP3 players

Didn't apple take this feature out when the iTMS came...or can you still sync your MP3's on a Rio?. what about the iTunes Plus songs on AAC player (they seem to work on my PS3)

1.) iTunes Radio - Very similar to how the Starbucks feature works on iPhone/iPod Touch. This is a wifi only app that allows you to listen to Apple-produced radio stations to aid in the discovery of new music. Of course, when you here something you like, you'll be able to click a button to buy it from the iTunes WiFi Store.
2.) Apple TV will be discontinued in its current form. Much like the Motorola Rokr - this is a prelude product, perhaps to a TiVo-like product or an actual line of flat screen TVs OR...
3.) Apple buys Netflix, allows you to rent movies via your Apple TV box.
4.) IPhone 3G will happen SOMETIME in 2008. Just maybe not in January.
5.) iPod Touch will be ramped up to 32 GB.
6.) iPhone SDK - Apple said it would happen. I believe them.
7.) New Apple produced software for the iPhone. iChat; movies widget; expanded calculator (basic, tip calculator, converter and scientific); WebApps folder; GPS estimation
8.) New multi-touch MacBook!

I am a med student who was happy with their Macbook (have been a mac user since my 1 ghz Titanium) until I got to school and saw what the windows tablet pc's could do for note taking. Don't get me wrong, for the all around experience of computing I will never voluntarily go back to the Windows platform, but I truly believe that for taking notes in an academic setting, the tactile experience of entering notes over a pdf or powerpoint file by pen (stylus) cannot be beaten. I have had to switch back to pen and paper for class notes while I feel a twinge of envy towards my buddies with a tablet. Apple, give me the greatest experience in tablet computing as only you are capable of!!

A preview of OS X Lion with full multi-touch capability, ZFS as the default file system, and Home folder on iPod and .Mac. Also, an update to .Mac doubling the storage.
The Apple TV and Mac mini will both be merged into one product that puts all of the I/O interfaces from the Apple TV on the back of a mini with a Blu-Ray player. This Mac will have a special version of iTunes/Front Row that has DVR capabilities and allows syncing and serving of media to other Macs.

1) Mac Touch will look like a large version of the iPod touch, but will let you install OS X compatible applications by syncing it with another Mac.
2) Apple TV will be integrated into a new 32" - 42" wall mountable LCD TV.
3) Apple will strike a deal with YouTube to broadcast and download YouTube videos directly in iTunes, making it easier to put YouTube videos on your iPod or watch them via Apple TV.
4) Mac Pro will get a new look.

To be fair I think MacWorld should have posted my full prediction for 2007...
"None of the "safe" predictions here. iPOD to have screen almost full size that is touch sensitive... has on screen navigation like the current wheel. Video over the entire screen when activated (viewed sideways). Better contacts and calendar and well very much like a Newton (whatever that was). In other words, an iPOD, Palm and PSP all rolled into one. Hang on a minute isn't that what Sony are trying to do with the PSP? Maybe a "safe" prediction after all. Oh yeh and chuck in a phone as well."
This makes my batting average pretty good for 2007 so here is my 2008 prediction(s)...
iPod and iPhone to have user removable batteries, 3G iPhone announced, iLife updated with iDatabase with iWeb integration, iPod to get infrared output and be turned into a universal remote control, Steve announces he is standing down as CEO but will remain on the board, Apple shares top $250.
Talk about "unsafe predictions." I think I have probably got a little carried away but, oh well, time will tell.
Hope to see you at the MacWorld in January... I will be the old fart with the WWT4 badge...
PLEASE NOTE: When I made my list I had not read any of the predictions above. I know now there is duplication as obviously there are many others who know Apple as well as I do.

Two new Macs. One large and one small.
iMacHD
52" HDTV that is also a full OSX Intel Mac with the latest processors.
Navigation is with a Multi-Touch tablet remote.
Plays content from HiDef or regular DVD's and iTunes.
MacBookTouch
For TRAVEL:
A 12" Multi-Touch tablet like portable that Weighs 1.2 lb, has wireless connectivity plus full OSX functionality.
For the OFFICE:
Can be docked to display vertically in a simple stand where it charges thru a magnetic connector and wirelessly connects to a separate keyboard and mouse.
Looks much like a smaller iMac when docked.

an Apple-easy home server with easily expandable storage (keep adding external disks and they get incorporated into a ZFS?) Really easy central depot for the family media - music, photos, videos, movies, Time Machine files for the last 7 years, etc.
Something I add to my network and it is instantly recognized and used well by all the Macs in the house.
I hoped for this in 2007, so it's a repeat.

Agreed. I've been asking for that for awhile. Now that I have 5 external hard drives of varying sizes attached to my iMac, remembering which volume particular files are on really sucks. On top of that, I have to have yet another external HDD for my wife's iMac so she can have a copy of our music and video files for syncing with her iPod.
Apple certainly should make a "family" media server that could accommodate half a dozen or so users - or five, just like the iTunes authorization. There's no reason for me to have to manage all my media assets manually.
