This might sound like a very obvious question but before I buy the cable I need I thought Id ask before I buy. I want to hook my iBook up to my TV but it has no VGA or DVI port, I can get a DVI - HDMI link cable Im just wondering if it will work and send the signal from my iBook to my TV.

I don't think iBooks can output DVI signals. When I had my iBook, my solution was to use the VGA to S-Video adapter for my tv. It wasn't HD, but it was sufficient for watching movies (it's like VHS).

To expand on the question.. I didnt look at the adaptor first like a fool. I have and its a mini (whatever) to VGA, would I be able to use a M-VGA - F-DVI to connect? It would all connect but would it send the picture to my TV?

I don't think you can make the VGA - DVI connection, because DVI is digital and VGA is analog. I'm quite sure you can go the other way around, but analog cannot convert to digital.
