Hi,
I can't always find a hotspot but I can always connected via the 3G USB modem in my laptop and there are certain things I'd like to do with my iPhone from the internet.
I've tried to share the internet connection from my MacBook Pro with my iPhone (System Preferences - Sharing) via Airport, however the sharing doesn't seem to work. The iPhone can "see" the wifi signal but it can't connect.
Is there anything that I missed here? Please advice.
Thanks

Nothing iPhone specific, but here are general suggestions:
Turn Internet Sharing off from the System Preferences/Sharing panel and check the settings in the "AirPort Options..." button's dialog.
Set the name to something simple, then Turn encryption off with the checkbox, then say OK and restart sharing.
If you can connect now go back and change the options on the Mac to have the name and password you want, then try again. Make sure the password type is set to the same thing as you're sharing, and select the 'ASCII' type rather than 'hexadecimal'
Just a few hints...
