Keyboard; numbers on extended keyboard stopped responding

Number keys on extended keypad stopped responding. Function keys (+-*/=, not [.]) work, and numbers above QWERTY work. Problem exists with OEM Apple keyboard and Microsoft wireless 3000 replacement. Please help me undo whatever mistake I made.

Go to your Universal Access preferences, click the Mouse tab, and turn off Mouse Keys.

Thanks to 'Reboot' for solving my problem. I posted the same question on the 'Apple' discussion board, but have not yet received the correct answer. Kudos to MacWorld readers.
