Leopard and Mail 3.1

My mail program that came with Leopard unexpectedly quits when I try to use it. I've rerouted my mail from .mac through Entourage for now. We don't know what to do to make it work! I know that I checked some boxed the first time I used it, so maybe they weren't all checked correctly?? Anyway, it now unexpectedly quits immediately so I can't go in and change anything. What do you suppose I could do next to fix it?

Maybe try logging your machine out of .mac and then back in? Delete any plists etc.

create another account. Set up mail in the new account to see if it behaves the same.
