Pretty disappointing. I guess they didn't have anything good ready.

I guess disappointment is too big a part of too many lives, but then that gives others something to write about. . . too bad, so sad!

I think the MacBook Air is fantastic and will be yet another blockbuster hit for Apple. Though it may disappoint the perennially picky, it may yet create its own new market.

I'm encouraged by the iPhone enhancements. I see them as teasers and portents of things yet to come. The SDK is on its way, and it's gonna be big, big, big, leaving the competition hopelessly in the dust as a whole new stable of 3rd-party developers jump on board.

And movie rentals. Whoa. Look out Blockbuster. It's been fun, but time to move on. . . Never did like finding all those new releases rented out.

Thank you for your coverage....Is it just me or was that the weakest Keynote in many years. Where is the big story? They are all small stories. Where is the more impressive iPhone (read more powerful), or a MacTablet or MediaMac. The future of computing for the consumer is a handheld computer like the iPhone but more powerful and ultimate home computer integration with an HDTV.

Isn't this really the year of HDTV? (I know Steve Jobs said that was last year or the year before) I think the AppleTV is still a hamstrung offering (limited use, small harddrive). I'm using Handbrake to transfer all my DVDs to my harddrive (for my personal use) and will buy a Mac Mini to use as a MediaMac with my brand new 40" Sony Bravia 1080p LCD. We need something with the capabilities of the Mac Mini in the AppleTV (web surfing, mail, chat, & Blue Ray). What about Macs shipping with Blue Ray? Now that would be news!

Why does Apple want to control our use of the content. They make a great platform. Can't they just stick to that and get their hand out of my pocket? I pay enough for the platform as it is!!!

Just look at the stock price...even Wall Street thought the Keynote was weak.

You seem to be a "the glass is half empty" type. This keynote had something for just about everyone. Wireless backup, an ultra-thin and light notebook with incredible gesture technology, online movie rentals through iTunes with ALL major studios, updates for the iPhone and iPod Touch, a completely revamped AppleTV with free software updates to early adopters... yeah, nothing really good.

Apple continues to lead the way in creating technology that is simple, fun and intuitive. I applaud their efforts in technology and in becoming more "greenly" aggressive. Steve and Apple has my highest respect. It's great time to be a Mac user.

I have not seen mention of the difficulty for regular Mac users to get into the Keynote. I was in line at 5:30, and already it was around Moscone West. When we got in at 9:30 or so, we ended up in the video overflow room. 4 hours waiting. There were a lot of people behind me, did some of them get turned away?
Regarding the Keynote content, I like the MacBook Air. I was hoping for a replacement for my Powerbook 12 that I still use for serious travel.
I like the idea of Time Capsule a lot. I will probably pre-order one soon.
