I want to connect to my Mac (G4 400) to a PC running Windows 98. I want to play Warcraft III over the network between the PC and Mac. I know how to setup a TCP/IP connection on the Mac but on the PC I am stumped. Please could someone provide me step-by-step instructions on how to do this, for the PC and Mac.
PS: I can change my OS. And I am currently using Mac OS 10.2 (Jaguar) and Windows 98 and XP.

Right click on Network Neighborhood, choose properties
Double click TCP/IP in the center window
This is where you set up the TCP/IP configurations
ake sure that you can ping each machine from the other and you should be OK fo gaming...
If you need more info, just ask...

Bounce between these steps to get the IP address if you don't remember what you set it as, and then to ping each machine:
From the PC:
Start -> Run, type command, hit return
Then from that window, type:
ipconfig - this will give you the IP address of the PC
ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (the IP address of the Mac)
From the Mac:
Open the terminal (OS X) which is in Applications/utilities/terminal
Then from that window, type:
ifconfig - this will give you the IP address of the Mac
ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (the IP address of the PC)
You should see replies from both.
