I'm getting a little sick of the "improves stability and performance" claim of software updates. That text is obviously some technical writer's TypeIt4Me generic space-filling blurb.
If Apple doesn't want to specifically tell us what the upgrade adds or fixes, they should just say, "Here's an update. STFU and apply it."

I agree that there has been a fair amount of this is the recent rash of updates.
It does not trouble me at all.
The trait appears to be that there is something that Apple does not want us to know. My guess and 100% my wild speculation is that Apple will soon introduce Touch Pads for all, including the stubby Aluminum BT Keyboard and announce that all Apple Aps. are "already" touch enabled.

I didn't use that phrase, so you should not attribute it to me as a direct quote.
I like reading explanations and release notes. Sometimes it helps me pass on updates when they have features that don't interest me or fix problems that I don't have. I'm objecting to the meaningless, generic boilerplate text that doesn't help me at all.
