I hope this means I can stream internet radio to my Apple TV which is hooked up to the best speakers in the house.

You do not need Airfoil to do that--the capability is built-in to iTunes and Apple TV. Just add the radio station(s) to a Playlist in iTunes and synchronize the Playlist to Apple TV.

That's only partially correct. If you get your music from online streaming services like Pandora or XM Radio, Airfoil works great for this.
