Some of these have been mentioned but I hope to see a password manager, a VNC tool compatible with both Apple's Remote Desktop and Microsoft's, Exchange support, a financial tool with a link to Quicken.
Another great tool, although it would probably come from Apple, would be complete .Mac synching support.

This is an idea for the iTouch only. This may be a feature that will be in the future, because it may require special hardware, so it may require a new iTouch. I think they should implement hardware that allows the iTouch to pick up on a cell phone signal. This may be too hard to do, I don't honestly know, but it would be smart of apple to do.

Even if it could pick up cell signal what would it be good for? It would be illegal to steal internet or something else, and you can't make calls without a SIM card. Making it useless.

My hopes and dreams:
1. A2DP Bluetooth service. I want to use my Motorola s9 headset!
2. SPP Bluetooth service. I have a Bluetooth GPS receiver the size of a pack of Juicy Fruit gum. Build GPS nav functionality into the Google Maps app and you've got a real winner.
3. Syncing with calendar, notes, and an added To Do list. 'Nuff said.

Hello . . . finally, someone who wants some dam apps for the iPhone that apply to the PHONE part of this gizmo! In case Steve's paying attention: for those of us who live in NY, it's a $100 fine for putzing with a phone while driving. For the rest of you'ze, it's dangerous! Even RIM finally got with the program. So, give us an iPhone that works with a BlueTooth headset and has voice-command / voice-recognition capability for dialing hands-free.

Track your daily business expenses and sync to your accounting software!
wouldn't that be handy as you pay for your items you have a record to stay current rather then collect the receipts and find time to enter them later.
even if its a simple spread sheet at worst.

Are you kidding me? You include Twitter, a comic book reader, and a finger paint tool above a database? We need a simple, flat file database. That's what you need to track you billings, mileage, expenses, CD's and DVD's, and most other data. We need a simple database and a to-do list/project manager first. That's it.
