"Perhaps programmers will be able to restrict network traffic while on EDGE networks and open the throttle when on Wi-Fi networks."
Just FYI... there is sample code to determine the type of connectivity (WiFi v. Edge) under "Reachability" so this should be very easy.

This is all good but you know how insatiable we end users are. Since third party developers won't have access to the dock connector, I suppose that I have to pin all of my hopes on Apple. What do I want?
I want to connect my iPhone / iPod touch to a wire that sends the entire screen to a projector, just like Steve Jobs does.
Then, I want Keynote for the iPhone / iPod touch.
I'm sure that this dynamic duo would please the enterprise sector, the education sector and lots of other sectors as well.
Gimmie haveit.

I don't think Apple will lock an application license to a single iPhone/iPod Touch. It should be up to the developer what they want to do with the license and if they want to have a license for as many devices as you want then they could do that. However looking at most software licenses you buy a single use license for a single computer and if you want more then pay again for each computer you use it on.
