Back in the old days, Apple had adverts of IBM, the faceless monolith vs Apple, the independent...
Apple seems to have more desire for control and less tolerance of open architecture than anyone else on the IT scene.
I have a Nokia phone. I can access thousands of apps, games, whatever, written by whoever, distributed however... its become typical of Apple, as they did, and still do with the repulstive Itunes, to control things as much as they can. YUK. (of course the fanboys will defend apple and somehow make it look like it is for our own good etc... yeah right, im sure every facist leader says the same thing)

I believe you can do this if you sign up for the "Enterprise" developer program.

why not just continue to use your palm then? Apple states in the SDK agreement that emulators or any application that runs interpreted code is not allowed. I'm sure someone is willing to develop a nice shining iPhone application to replace your Palm one.
