Can the OS X mail program convert attachments properly for Windows users to see them? I seem to recall a problem with this before. I currently use Entourage, but would like to try the OS X mail program, but mmost of the people I correspond with (and exchange files with) use Windows machines.
As always, thanks.

I used to use Entourage (and loved it) but when Jaguar came along with the Global Address Book that you could use for many things e.g. iChat, Mail, etc... I switched over to OS X Mail ... It's been okay (I think the junkmail system is better on Mail actually - in Entourage I used to have to Bounce Mail to cut down on spam). To detach pictures in Mail I right click and send them to the desktop.

"Can the OS X mail program convert attachments properly for Windows users to see them?"
From a Mail.app developer.
"AppleDouble is used automatically with forked files. Are you sending a folder of files? If so, drop them into Mail as individual files or stuff them ahead of time. There is a bug in sending folders of files."
