So, I have about 1200 nature pics in one folder for desktop pictures. Anyone know of how to see the name of the pic currently displayed as your desktop pic, so I don't have to scroll through 1200 pics to find the one's I want to remove...
thanx,
Your Pal,
Caleeeeeb.

Preferences >> Desktop & Screen Saver
click on Desktop
once it's open, the current desktop will be displayed there in the upper left along with the file name to the right.
if you click on any of the folders in the library then click once on a pic, it will display the pic on the preference pane along with the name as well as reset the desktop to the same.

I may have your solution, if you're using Leopard...
Go into your hard drive and navigate to
{quote}Your Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist{quote}
Open the file in QuickLook (or TextWrangler, if you have it) and scroll down until you find something that says
{quote}LastName {quote}
Right underneath that should be the name of the current image.
Hope that helps.
