opening window closes

I am using OS 9.2 on 867DP G4. When I open a program it appears as though the first window to open disappears in a fraction of a second. On one card game, that occured for the whole application. I could see the whole thing open and close. I increased the memory and it acts normal except for the first window as the other programs No other apparent problems once the programs open.
It's almost like double clicking on a button and missing the first window to open.
I am using Kensington's MouseWorks, but the settings seem to be fine.

Question -- Does the application quit or is just the window disappearing while the app still runs?

Just the window whizzes by. The application works well, unless I am missing other windows closing.
