can't install 10.5.2 combo

Ok what's the trick. Today I downloaded the combo and tried to install it on my drive (I currently have 10.5.2 installed via Software Update.) But when I get to the screen that allows me to pick the volume, all of my volumes have the big red stop sign. I read somewhere that by applying the combo I can get rid of the ACL errors.

Hi- That is strange. I down loaded the combo update from apple website and install edit on top on the 10.5.2 update I downloaded via Software Update in the Menu bar.

If you post more details about what you are doing, your system etc, I sure someone can help you.

You only want to install the update on a start up volume.

I have an old G4 (dual 1.25Ghz) running 10.5.2. Yes, I am trying to install it on my start up volume.What lead me to attempt this is another problem which I will post in another thread, but I have lost all except the last Console Log entry in my Console log.
