Is worth the wait?

Waiting for so long, has make me think things better, I really want to buy a 17" PB, but who knows when are going to be available at stores, some guys says that delay is because hardware problems, so why buy a $3,200 PB that can cause trouble just to send it back to apple in the first week?, maybe I have to wait to the second revision, or buy a 15" PB, so my question is, besides the screen size and the light keyboard, there's so much difference between the two PB's in performance, and the most important for me: Is the 15" a good buy?, I know that the 15" will be revised some time soon, so I don't want to feel I bought an "older" machine, so honestly, what do you guys think, should I buy the 15", wait for the 17", or wait for the Al 15"?
PD. If I really need the computer right now?, no, I'm just a "techno fetischist".
Thanks.

Re: Is worth the wait?
Well, less paint to worry about...DDR Ram, no more hinge snapping, looks better to me anyway.

I myself will not buy the 15" Ti for these and other reasons. But if I ever do get the 17" the first thing I may do is to run to the mirror and take a close look at my nose, since that is where I will be paying from. I think those willing to wait for the Aluminum 15" will be making the wisest choice, since it may well cost the same as the 15" Ghz model does now. Since I might wait anyway to hear reports from new 17" owners, if the 15" new revision pops up that may be my choice.

In any case if you yourself can wait then do it. The 17" may have minimal problems upon it's release, especially since it is being held up so long. Why kick yourseld for not waiting just another week? It is the only thing a self respecting techno fetishist can do, which you admit you are...and so do I for that matter.

So meanwhile get your kicks scouring the other 17" threads and beating dead horses like almost everyone else. At least it keeps our minds off the 15" Ti.

Believe it or not 17"/15" models will soon be so plentiful and common they will seem like old news and we will be longing for some other new techno gadgetry.
