thesaurus database on microsoft word for osx

greetings from brazil

i know (almost) everyone out there is a native english speaker, but i guess you also write, at least from time to time, in other languages. now, how do you solve the issue of spellchecking in other languages, how can you add the dictionary and/or thesaurus files of other languages? i need portuguese and spanish for now, but others (french and german) are also welcome.

any sugestions for helping out?

For a French, Spanish, and German, the answer is pretty easy: insert the Microsoft Office X CD. Open the value pack folder and launch the Value Pack installer. Locate the "proofing tools" package, expanded into a list of available languages with the small triangle.

Unfortunately, Portuguese is not among those listed on my CD. I know I have read from other users who have located Portuguese dictionaries for download on European websites, but I don't have the URL. Sorry,

You should try Flip for Mac ... it's a great Brazilian Portuguese dictionary/thesaurus that works with MS Office.
