After sleep, cannot get email

I have 10.2.6 on a PB G4 400. After I wake it from sleep and get email in Entourage, it consistently gives two error messages. Then, it works. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Well..since no one's jumping in...I've never had this particular problem, but I have had problems where Mail refused my password repeatedly. Repairing permissions with Disk Utility solved it.
Repairing permissions can fix some weird problems, give it a try.

I have the same problem with Mail giving an error message periodically when awaking from sleep. Usually it will fix itself at the next email poll, but I have had to close Mail and re-open once or twice.

Only problem is, I don't know a fix. But at least we know you're not alone!

Same thing here on my 1GHz DP machine, but I don't think it's really a problem. I think it's due to the fact that the instant the Mac wakes up, Entourage starts checking for messages (since it's past the time it was last supposed to check), but the connection hasn't yet fully "hooked up". It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, I usually just hit the "Stop All" button, wait a second and check again. I'm on DSL.

That's my theory, anyway ....

I check my mail manually only, so I don't think that's the source of the problem in my case. Thanks for your thoughts, though.
