cloning or imaging files over the network w/ osx?

I need to install up to 200 new macs on a school network, pc and mac network.

Macs are using OSX.

we need to image or clone the macs so they all have the same files. Im told that with mac osX, their is NO program to make doing this easy (like norton ghost for the pc).

is this true? How can we clone these images, to hundreds of macs to save time and $, as opposed to burning a cd and going each mac separately off the network (which is very time consuming).

any ideas? is there a program and way to do this using osx?

thanks.

Alright at my school we are also trying to come up with a better way to do it but here is the way we do it at the school for our 300 ibooks.

We setup 4 ibooks that are kept un used they are kept locked in the cabniet next to my desk. 2 of those are "Staff Masters" and 2 of those are "Student Masters" then with the target machine we plug a firewire cable into both ibooks and boot the target machine into firewire mode by holding down T. Now we open up a program called Carbon Copy Cloner from bombich.com and clone the master to the target ibook.

I'm trying to get server netboot to work on them so we can use netboot to boot an image off of then use CCC to clone our netboot image onto the machine that booted the images harddrive.
