Does IE still ship with G5's?

Does anyone know if Internet Explorer is still shipping with the G5s? I use Safari about 98% of the time, but there is that 2% that I need IE. I had heard that MS is no longer going to make IE for Mac because of Safari, any truth to that?

Since IE as a stand alone browser is officially dead for both Macs and Windows according to MS, I doubt it. What do you need IE for?

Exactly, Safari works fine 98%. But still some times it get bad; especially when it gets to online banking or paying bills online. I have notice that safari cant shows the transactions in Citi bank website. Also the whole navigation bar doesnt appears in cingular website (cant log out, check you accountest.). And stuff like that.

Another thing is I cant download any attachment from hotmail, once you click the download button youll get logged out of your email rather than downloading the attachment. Thats really weird.

Has anyone got these problems?
Anyone have a solution for it.

Microsoft has officially stopped development of IE for the Mac, mostly due to Safari's emergence.

Well, I only share Cingular for websites, but it seems that the site works 98% - some links just don't work - like the java rollovers that don't resolve right. I still can get all my billing info though, although I am not sure where - I am in the process of leaving Cingular, so I am not usingthe site any more.

Other than that, I just ahad a problem resolving a page on an IBM site, and I never have had any success with proxies and Safari. I have Mozilla for that though. Its slow, but it works.

Does the recent Java update help at all?

Changing the browser settings to mimic windows browsers keeps the sites from not leting you in but often the Mac browsers still don't work right. For my bank the Camino browser seems to work best, I can even get images of my checks something none of the other Mac browsers will do even if they can log on and get to the transaction data.

As an interesting aside; some folks are now pointing to Web site statistics to make the argument that Mac market share is decreasing and that the return to cater to Mac-users is almost insignificant.

I believe that because so many folks have set their browsers to report to Web sites that they are IE/Win (to be let in) that Web site statistics are now unreliable.
