Carbon copy cloner to move from iBook to TiBook?

Hi,
Wasn't sure if I should post here or in the portables forum....
I've happily used Carbon Copy Cloner to set up my TiBook after I upgraded the hard drive (moving the contents from the old to the new drive).
I now want to use it to move a co-worker's setup from an iBook (500 MHz, CD-ROM) to a G4 TiBook (867 MHz DVI) since our lab has just bought a few new laptops and he's in line for an upgrade. I think he's currently running 10.2.4 on his iBook.

My question is this:
will moving from one system to another present any problems if I just use CCC to transfer the contents of his iBook hard drive to the (wiped out) TiBook drive? In other words, are there any settings/files/etc. that are specific to the hardware so that the cloned drive on the powerbook will not function properly?

If so, is my best option to do the installation of the new TiBook the "right" (but slower" way?

Thanks!

Just a thought, but one thing you could probably do that would work in this scenario is to clone it over to the Ti, then immediately upgrade him to 10.2.6 or 10.2.8 (if it's available again by then). That should cover any issues of incompatibility, although I'm not sure there would even be any.

Please don't take this as a green light, just my own personal experience. We set up an eMac in our lab at school and cloned it using CCC and have used it on a wide variety of machines now with no problem. Some examples are many different versions of iBooks, flat-panel iMacs, and PowerBooks. Everything works exactly as planned.
