Check out the letter that I wrote to Microsoft..HE

Not to be too terrably rude, but you guys need to be more like Apple. I know that you already tried that and even got sued over it, but that is because you made the exact same thing as Apple (When I say this, I am referring to like Windows 2.0 or something). I mean everytime you want to do something on a Windows, you got to type in .exe and you got to do all these Start menu crap or something like that... Windows sticks to you while Macintosh leaves you alone and doesn't bother you with all the error messages and everything!!!!!!! I mean...APPLE IS ALREADY ON A 64 BIT PROCESSOR....We call it the G5. Mac OS X is a dream come true compared to your "Newely designed and easier to use XP"...HA!!!!! Well, I really think that Gates needs to meet with Steve Jobs, One of the smartest people on Earth and take tips on how to really run a computer/OS company!!!! Thanks for reading and sorry if i offended you...(The truth hurts sometimes doesn't it)!!!!!!!!!

Ok, It is not as good as I guess it could be, but it is really the g-d honest truth! Enjoy!

Mike

Not to burst your bubble, but there are a few problems (factual problems) with your little letter. I'm not going to go into them, but you're not wowing anyone with this. It's nice that you like Apple and Mac computers, but don't overdo it. It's one thing to be a fan and another to be a zealot. Additionally, no one over there is going to care about your letter, except maybe pin it up as an office joke.

It may also not be a good idea to include a dozen exclamation points in a letter that is the size of a paragraph. Aside from being grammatically incorrect - double punction is an error except in the case of abbreviations followed by a comma, colon, or semi-colon - a screaming e-mail is a red flag for fanatic.

Also, Microsoft doesn't make CPUs or desktops, so it is unlikely to be concerned with the G5

When you post something like this that is full of factual and gramatical errors, you are providing cannon fodder for WINmaniacs to point to Mac users and laugh. Please investigate and use a spell-checker in advance, unless, of course, you are a PC hugger purposely posting this at a Mac site. In which case, well, I'm sure you can deduce our feeling . . .

Oh, my, we just fuel the flames of anti-Mac sentiments, don't we?

What's the point of trying to give advice to one of the most successful companies in the world? Your letter sounds like it's actually encouraging Microsoft to steal more from Apple. I'm sure someone at Microsoft had a few laughs at this one. I highly doubt it got far, but I could picture Bill Gates doubled-over in laughter because of this.

I knew when I saw this topic that it was going to be along the lines of "Hey, i wrote a letter to evil M$: 'hey microsoft--ur suck!' Apple rulz!"

Please...do us all a favor, and just don't even bother next time. It's more embarrassing than it is helpful to us as Mac users.

This is probably written by a sixth grader that should be spending more time in class, and less time on web forums.

Re: Check out the letter that I wrote to Microsoft
I guess i don't really need to say this, everyone else already has, but you seem juvenile and make many grammatical errors. No offense, but your letter fuels the "Macs are for idiots" argument. And while you certainly seem to dislike Microsoft, I really don't think they're going to change their policies or anything, even if they got thousands of such letters. Oh, by the way, I DO appreaciate that your letter was NOT obscene or obviously rude. Well, I guess it was obviously rude, but it wasn't... rude in a bad way. It was obvious that you were pretty emphatic in your dislike of Microsoft, but were trying your best to be civil. I really do think that if a fourteen-year-old who spends way too much time on Warcraft III, both in chat and in games, thinks your letter was juvenile, a lot of the rest of the world is going to think so too. So to use internet parlance, "Shutting up right now is kthx."

Hey, sorry man, it's just that we get enough trash about being mac users, as "macs are so much worse because...". We also tend to be older than you, though I'm not really, and respect good spelling. Why, I don't really know, it's not like spelling is a reliable mark of intelligence, but there you are. I guess I just feel like the letter is a little juvenile in language and how it's written, and posting it on this forum is a little... well... "Hey, look at me, I hate Microsoft! Swarm me with adoring replies now!". Being anti-Microsoft is a good thing of course, and I hope i haven't put you off macs or these forums, it's just...

Perhaps being "anti-WIN" is a "good" thing, but the MS MBU is one of the best Macintosh application developing groups there is. And grammar should always be correct.

Re: Check out the letter that I wrote to Microsoft
And to make it a perfect trifecta for the evening, I'm going to close this one, too -- we've long since strayed from anything that could be remotely considered OS X related (unless you count the fact that the words OS X actually appear in this thread). Again, MacCentral has some nice general conversation boards; Macworld does not...
