Importing Appleworks to MS Access

I'm a new Appleworks for Windows user and having great difficulty in converting an existing Appleworks database to any format that can be imported by MS Access.

The obvious save as text delimited simply isn't there. Save as text just doesn't do it I was thinking maybe a mail merge route might work.

I'm running out of ideas to try. Can anyone assist?

Re: Importing Appleworks to MS Access
Actually I do believe that you can export it to Excel. Access will import from excel.

Re: Importing Appleworks to MS Access
Export as text (tab-delimited) from Appleworks and directly import into Access after creating an identical template. You can always use Excel as an intermediate as Excel can import text delimited files...

Just to add to bofus post which I totally endorse you can create the access template on the fly in the import process.

Re: Importing Appleworks to MS Access
Access will handle DB3. What are the creators using to create the file. It seems that apple Works is like MS Works. Very little is compatible with it. Access will also import ASCI files. DBIII, DBIV DB5.
I just reread your last post. What are you using Apple Works for Windows for. I am confused now. I thought you were using AppleWorks on a Mac and trying to convert to Access on a PC.
