converting Quark files to Word files

Client has decided that the 4 manuals, ranging from 220 - 300 pages each, laid out in Quark 4.1 with graphics now need to be available in Word.
Is there a decent program out there that will convert the Quark page to a Word file that would be at least 85% of what the Quark page looks like & then I can massage the rest?
i) is there a program to take Quark files directly to Word with identical (min. 85%) layout?
ii) is there a program(s) to take Quark files to PDF to Word with identical (min. 85%) layout?
iii) is there a program(s) to take Quark files to HTML to Word with identical (min. 85%) layout?

Any help/suggestions will help save the remainder of my hair.

Why not just PDF then it would be 100%? Anyone can open them in Acrobat Reader.

Re: converting Quark files to Word files
Going PDF would only meet the requirement of being able to edit the text if the editing doesn't make the line breaks change. If they want to edit a lot, PDF is not gonna do it. If it is a single-column document with not a lot of picture positioning, you might import the text into Quark. If it's "designed" at all, Word simply does not have enough layout support to preserve that.

You're S.O.L.

There is NOTHING that is going to get you 85% of the way there automatically. It's too bad they didn't build the books in Adobe InDesign, where this wouldn't be much of a problem at all.
