Installing Panther on my G3 iBook

As the proud new owner of a G5 iMac, I would like to upgradde the OS on my G3 iBook to Panther. Unfortunately, the iBook only has a CD drive and the supplied discs that came with my G5 are DVD's.

How can I load the Panther OS onto the iBook? I do have an external firewire hard drive.

You can't use the install disc(s) that came with the
iMac G5 on anything but another iMac G5. You'd have
to buy the Panther "retail" version. That comes on CDs.
