Quicken files to Quickbooks

I am considering purchasing Quickbooks 6.0 for Mac. I have been using Quicken 2004 for some time (using virtual PC) on my MAC and need to know if that data can be brought into Quickbooks, I have asked Intuit and they say yes but I was wondering if anyone here has done it., Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Quicken files to Quickbooks
you're running Quicken 2004 for Windows and you'd like to move the data to QuickBooks for Mac, is that correct?
- this will take a couple of steps - you'll need to convert the data formats from Quicken to QuickBooks and from Windows to Mac. Depending on what features you use in Quicken, you will likely lose some data, you'll want to read up on the Intuit tech support knowledgebase to get details on what will and will not convert.
- you will actually need to use an intermediary program to move from Quicken for Windows to QuickBooks for Mac. if you order a trial copy of QuickBooks for Windows , you can use the trial version to convert your Quicken for Windows files to QuickBooks for Windows. QuickBooks for Mac can then convert that file.

anyone else care to share their actual experiences here?
