PC Quicken Home & Business to Mac Quickbooks NUE

I have currently been using P.C. Quicken Home & Business for my home based business, now that I have a new Mac I would like to do all my business invoices and banking on the Mac, it came with Quickbooks (New User Edition) already installed, however I'm told by there tech help it will not accept the transfer files from the PC, and I need to transfer all business files into the new program I use, also need to be able to print invoices and keep track of invoicing like the Quicken H & B for PC I'm using now.
Has anyone tried using this Quickbooks (New User Edition)? And if so has anyone tried to transfer files from PC.
I purchased Quicken 2004 for Mac however it will not do Invoicing.

It would be great to hear from any folks who have converted from Quicken Windows Home & Business, what are your tips and experiences?

From a process point of view, you could use a trial version of QuickBooks for Windows http://available free from Intuit, call 888.729.1996 and request a trial for QuickBooks 2004 to convert your Windows Quicken file to a Windows QuickBooks format file. This file could then be imported to QuickBooks for Mac.

Conversion between different versions of programs is not perfect since there are lots of versions and platforms involved. You'll want check the names in the Quicken accounts receivable register - names used for Invoices must match the names used for Payments.Names in the accounts receivable register will become customer names and transactions will become invoices and payments in QuickBooks. If the names do not match, QuickBooks will not link the invoices to the payments correctly. For example "The Gadget Store" could also be listed as "Gadget Store" - pick one and change all other occurences, so you are left with only one name for each customer.

Here is one article from the QuickBooks KnowledgeBase on conversion from Quicken - try using Google or your preferred search tool to find matches for "converting from Quicken Home and Business to QuickBooks":
