Virtual PC problem

Everytime I try to start up VPC I get the message:
"One of the specified drive images could not be opened.

The drive image may be open in another virtual machine. Please shut down other PCs before proceeding."

But, no other applicitaion are opened except vpc, and theres only one machine using that image. What can I do? What could be wrong?

Re: Virtual PC problem
Hardware specs, OS version, and VPC version would be helpful infomation.

Have you recently moved up to a G5? VPC 6.x and earlier are not compatible on the G5.

Re: Virtual PC problem
Are you launching a saved state? If So try launching VPC and starting a new state. If that helps a virtual pc disk may be corrupted.

If that doesn't work try trashing the VPC prefs file.

After that try repairing permission, fsck and DW if you have that.

Re: Virtual PC problem
A corrupted file of some sort - preference, DOS disk image may have gone south, etc. VPC 5.x works - it was something particular to your install that got whacked. Glad a new installation of VPC got you running again.
