Nikita, ISO9660 is the "international equivalent" of high sierra,
so there's no separate extension for it.
The key extension is:
Foreign File Access (FFA)
and it uses the following Apple extensions:
Apple Packet Media Access
Apple Photo Access
Audio CD Access
ISO 9660 File Access
UDF Volume Access
If FFA isn't present, the rest don't work.
What things that end in "access" are in your extensions
folder (apre boyfriend)?

Okay, from what Mac Help says I need in my extensions folder so that CD's will work I have:
Apple CD/DVD Driver
Apple Photo Access
Audio CD Access
UDF Access
( I've also still got Apple Packet Media Access, Open Tpt Remote Access and URL Access apre boyfriend!)
I was just going on what Mac Help said I needed and from their list I was missing:
Foreign File Access
ISO 9660 File Access
High Sierra Access
doggdamac was kind enough to say he'll email me FFA and ISO and hopefully I don't need HSA like you said.
From what I could gather from searching the forums and googling is that ISO is for PC formatted disks and HSA is for Mac formatted disks. One post even said HSA was the more important of the two. I wouldn't have a clue so thanks so much for your expertise!

Thanks but yeah I checked there first and then did a search on sherlock and even he couldn't find them! I hope you guys can help me cos I've searched the net to no avail. I'm always amazed how people take the time to solve others problems in forums. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!
The lesson is never let anyone (particularly your boyfriend) near your Mac. Especially when he says he hates Macs! I think it was sabotage.

I have searched my OS installer disks from OS 8.5 to 9.2.1 (9.0 excluded). I was able to find the High Sierra extension only in the OS 8.5 installer tomes. If you send me a private message with your e-mail address, I can send you this version of the extension. However, I suspect that you don't need it. As with doggdamac, I don't have it in my 9.2.2 folder either.
I'm in business! Thanks heaps everyone. I've been missing those files for ages but got jacked trying to find them. Who knew my little angels were here all along? If I come across anymore stuff my darling boy has deleted I know where to come. I'll be back anyway if everyone can stand my rantings! (Just a bit happy right now).
