I have a 40GB iPod that I now save for longer trips, but for short, everyday use, I love my iPod shuffle. It's so light and discreet that I barely notice that it's in my pocket. If you make a lot of short commutes (like, say, riding the NYC subway), or if you're fairly active with your iPod (gym, jogging, etc.), then the shuffle is great.
The difference between a grave and a rut is just the distance. After having one of the original iPods for all this time I think it's refreshing for Steve Jobs to decide on the Shuffle. Maybe I was listening to the same ole playlists over and over and over or the same Songs/Artists over and over. I found an iPod Shuffle in the Best Buy in Stockton it's sooooo cool to walk into Starbucks having one of the first ones hanging around your neck and when I get into the truck I just plug in the cassette adapter into the earplug and continue on. Who needs a display anyway!
Yeah I plan on keeping it. And I have to agree about the shuffle. on my ipod, I have about 2200 songs. But I listen two, not even close to half of 'em. So the shuffle kinda allowed me to rediscover my collection so to speak. I'll pass it on to my wife. She's excited to join the musically mobile. And plus I think it's a better option for when I'm snowboarding then the iPod.
