Bibliography tool Bookends 8 offers 50+ changes

Sonny Software on Thursday released Bookends 8, an upgrade to its bibliography tool that features more than 50 new or enhanced features, including an overhauled user interface and the ability to create smart search groups that automatically update according to their criteria. In addition, it includes a built-in http server for reference databases, a new List Views window and integrated Internet searching for finding references on PubMed, the Library of Congress and many worldwide libraries. more

Nothing like EndNote 8: easiest, intuitive and powerful.

I used Bookends when I was in college a few years ago, and it was great. Easy to use and formatted everything well, and it interacted well with NisusWriter. Glad to see the product is alive and well and being updated.

I may have just missed it in my search, but it looks like there hasn't been any Bookends news here for a while. Bookends is now on Version 10.2.1, and has changed a lot since this article was published. I know it wouldn't be mega-popular, but you might consider a comparative review with Sente, EndNote, and perhaps a free alternative like JabRef.
